Wanderers in the wilds - Warcry allies and beasts

When I finished painting up Quorle's Pathfinders back at the end of March, I picked out a few models from the Cities of Sigmar range that I knew I wanted to paint up as potential allies for the warband and I'm delighted to say that they're now all finished up and in the case of Maris Volkein have already hit the tabletop having been recruited by Armand Quorle to bring a little extra firepower to bring to bear on the foes lurking in the Gnarlwood.

Arch-knight Otzlowe Behn IV

Known affectionately as 'The Otz' to his comrades, hails from Hammerhal-Ghyra, though his career in the Freeguild has seen him campaign across several of the Mortal Realms. Armed with a great hammer he has christened 'The Chastener' and clad in a distinctive suit of the finest plate and mail, there is little that truly troubles The Otz and seldom a situation he cannot find some wry amusement in for he is as happy tossing back ales and singing Ghyran òrain as he is crushing skulls and breaking bones in the press of the melee.

Fusil-Sergeant Maris Volkein

Maris grew up in the Cinderfall district of Hammerhal-Aqshy and showed an affinity for technology and chemistry from a young age, so it was almost inevitable that the allure of the newly emergent doctrines of gunnery would beckon to her into the service of the Freeguild. Rising rapidly to the rank of Fusil-Sergeant thanks to a combination skill, discipline and luck, she shuns the brace of pistols favoured by some officers, for the more potent slaughter-fusil. To Maris' way of thinking, what the larger firearm may lack in manoeuvrability is more than compensated for by the raw destruction it can wreak upon the foe.

Uile-bheist a nochd - Gargoylian

The Uile-bheist a nochd is so known because it literally appeared from nowhere. Of its' origins or motivations, none can say, save that it will not abide the touch of chaos in any of the malefic guises it may take. Though diminutive in apparance, the Uile-bheist a nochd is as ferocious and loyal as a Trail-hound and those who can persuade the beast to join them on campaign encamp more soundly for knowing it is near.

With these three painted up, I think I'm almost done with Warcry minis for a wee while, though I do have one more that I'm working on which I hope to be sharing soon, but I need to get a few more games played before I'll be ready to do that. In the mean time, there's a trio of heroes from Middle Earth who I need to finish painting, so until next time, thanks for reading and happy hobbying!
